301 revues de littérature sur les INM publiées en 2019

Nous avons recensé toutes les revues narratives, les revues systématiques et les méta-analyses publiées dans une revue scientifique en 2019 sur les interventions non médicamenteuses (INM). 301 articles, ce n’est pas rien…

Nous souhaitions connaître le nombre de revues narratives, de revues systématiques et de méta-analyses publiées dans la littérature internationale en 2019 sur les interventions non médicamenteuses ou INM et leur couverture thématique dans le domaine de la santé. Nous avons donc mené cette revue systématique identifiant tous les articles des études publiées en 2019 dans une revue scientifique ou médicale à comité de lecture.

Méthode

Nous avons inclus toute revue narrative, revue systématique et méta-analyse s’intéressant aux bénéfices et aux risques d’INM sur un déterminant de santé. L’article pouvait s’intéresser à la prévention ou au soin, en complément ou non avec des traitements biomédicaux.

Nous avons cherché les articles dans les bases reconnues du secteur de la santé, Pubmed, Cochrane Library (Central), Science Direct et Web of Science. Nous avons également cherché sur Google Scholar, Google, ResearchGate et Academia en éliminant les redondances le cas échéant.

Nous avons exclu les articles ne couvrant pas la totalité thématique des interventions non médicamenteuses, autrement dit se focalisant sur un seul thème (psychologie, éducation, pratique corporelle, nutrition, numérique, phytothérapie…) ou sur une seule médecine (médecine traditionnelle chinoise, médecine ayurvédique…). Nous avons également exclu les résumés sans article publié, les rapports de séminaire, les résumés de posters présentés en congrès, les éditoriaux des revues, les livres, les chapitre de livre, les rapports de sociétés académiques (sociétés savantes, autorités de santé…), les mémoires d’étudiants (Licence, Master, thèse d’exercice professionnel…) et les thèses de science (PhD). Nous avons tenu compte des erratums en prenant systématiquement la dernière version.

La figure 1 présente les différents types de revue des 301 articles publiés en 2019 dont l’intégralité figure dans les références ci-après de cet article.

La figure 2 présente les 301 articles des revues publiées en 2019 sur les INM provenant des 8 bases de données différentes, en commençant par Pubmed.

Résultats

Les articles ont été publiés par des premiers auteurs de 49 pays différents, avec par ordre d’importance décroissante, les USA, l’Angleterre, l’Italie, l’Australie et la Chine (fig. 3). La France est huitième de ce classement 2019 entre le Canada et le Brésil.

Les articles portent sur 51 déterminants de santé dont les 20 premiers sont présentés dans la figure 4. La traitement de la douleur concerne 19% des articles identifiés. Les maladies chroniques, les addictions, les problèmes liées à l’avancée en âge et la prévention constituent une large partie des thèmes de santé abordés par ces 301 revues de littérature sur les INM.

Conclusion

Quelle ne fût pas notre surprise de découvrir 301 revues de littérature publiées en 2019 dans des revues scientifiques ou médicales par des chercheurs du monde entier. Ce chiffre élevé conforte l’idée que l’appellation de ces pratiques fondées sur la science devrait être les “interventions non-médicamenteuses”.

Ce chiffre de 301 rien qu’en 2019 amène à penser que cette approche globale et non pas sectorielle d’une seule catégorie (nutrition, activité physique, numérique…) est la façon la plus pertinente d’appréhender les action en faveur de la santé, du soin et du bien-vieillir. La combinaison pertinente et personnalisée d’INM aura de meilleurs bénéfices sur la santé des usagers à court, moyen et long terme, sur leur durée de vie et sur leur qualité de vie (Ninot, 2019). Toute individu doit avoir le droit de mettre toutes les chances de son côté et d’utiliser plusieurs solutions pour se soigner. Cela impose de changer nos habitudes en matière de santé. Cela nécessite aussi la création d’un écosystème transparent, rigoureux et complémentaire des autres stratégies de santé.
